I was thinking about making my own materials to sew etc. and had the idea of inside-out duct tape covered with different things. I tried shredded newspaper and liked how it looked. The finished piece has paper from two different shredders, so the middle of the legs loosk different.
The basic structure is a heavy wire frame, either covered in saran wrap, then duct tape, glue and newspaper; or sheets of duct tape made from individual strips, newspaper stuck to it, and then wrapped around the frame and affixed inside. This piece is unfinished.

Wrapped myself in saran wrap and then covered that with duct tape. Cut off with EMT shears to make the top piece.
