Triborg

This is an idea I've had for some time: using clear plastic tubing, filled with colored liquid, then woven into interesting shapes etc. I used diluted fountain pen ink in water, which seems pretty harmless if it leaks. I also experimented with mixing oil to make visual color bubbles, but didn't incorporate that in here.
Rather than make the entire piece from woven tubing, I decided to fill in the gaps with zip ties. This changed it from a future/cyborg look to something more tribal looking.
I 3-D printed the stoppers and connectors (which are separate things, so if two tubes become separated from each other the liquid still stays inside). The piece is trickty to put on though: I plan to print a spine for joining the pieces in the back and helping theoverall piece maintain its shape.
The choker was the first part I made, by braiding together 3 tubes. I'm still thinking about what would be a good paired bottom for this piece.
